Martin Haerlin
From 1999 until 2007, Martin Haerlin worked as a trailer producer for the German networks RTL and Vox. Since 2007, he has been a commercial director, working with well-known brands like Coca-Cola, Volkswagen, and Mercedes-Benz. Martin prides himself on discovering the low-key humor and subtle storytelling in everyday life, then capturing them in naturalistic imagery that draws viewers into the moment.
In 2023, he ventured into the world of artificial intelligence, focusing on how it can change film production. Martin aims to use AI tools to create films that are not only realistic but also rich in storytelling. His efforts were highlighted in June 2023 when his film “Me in AI” became widely popular on social media, shared millions of times. Since then, his work has been regularly featured in Time Magazine, Forbes, and other publications. Martin is a super collaborator with tech companies like Runway and Pika Labs. He teaches AI filmmaking at universities and through online courses. He is also a speaker at various congresses all over Europe, such as Google Germany, the ADC of Germany and Europe, and others.
Outside of his professional life, Martin is also a volunteer lifeguard and swimming instructor, teaching life-saving skills to children and refugees.
He lives in Berlin with his wife and three children.
